Defaulting to no windows on walk out basement room-by-room calc

Hi, I read thru all the manuals but none addressed my issue.

I have a walk out basement that is 9ft ceiling height and all below grade. For the room by room calculation I'm doing there are a wall of windows and a double door that leads out to the back yard. These windows and doors are shaded at all times of day. When I go into the "walls" tab and select the "high" window coverage option and my room length, it will not allow me to save this data point and move on. After hitting the"save" button, it defaults to "none" as my window option which is incorrect.

Is there a way to override this default option?

Thanks in advance

Thank you for contacting us. I suspect the issue is because you set your below grade room height to 9ft, but also specified the entire 9ft is below ground. I believe the system will not allow a window to be 100% underground (which makes sense). If you change the below grade height to be less than the room height it should allow you to add windows. You can also go into the wall you added and hit the advanced edit icon which will allow you to edit the below grade height of that specific wall.

Best Regards
